Lazy jacks

I want to install lazy jacks on my macgregor 25. Anyone done this. Any advised for a newly.

Not a 25, a 26X. Had Lazy Jacks since I bought it in 2011 - came from PO.

LIke them a lot. See image. 8)

I installed (made my own) lazy jacks last year. I'm so glad I did as it keeps me off the deck in bouncy seas. I also made a continuous loop for my main haylard so I can pull it down when it doesn't want to drop with gravity.

There are a couple of ways to do it but the concept is the same for all.
Probably the biggest challenge for me was the sail cover. They are in the way to install the sail cover. So mine have a small block on the mast when back in port I can lower the lazy jacks flat to install the sail cover.

Hi Russ!

Thanks for posting that great write up on making one’s own Lazy Jacks!
It looks like a really nice approach for trailer sailers who are gonna be setting up and taking down their masts regularly.
Like that budget friendly approach too!
