Post by sljury » Fri Jan 29, 2016 7:44 pm

I stumbled across this video of a boat launch and yes its not a MAC but I am thinking of teaching my dog the same tricks when the wife is not around to help with the launch of the :macx: Enjoy its a laugh.

My Doxie is strong and powerful for size and stubborn. I can just imagine him being dragged out into the lake!

"Who's a good doggy!!!"

Problem is my idiot dog loves to swim and would be pulling the boat into the middle of the channel.

However, if the ramp is not too steep this is how I prefer to launch, just tie the bow off to something on shore with about 20 feet of rope and back in, when you see the stern floating in your mirror keep an eye on it and when the movement moves almost to the bow touch your brakes and the boat sides off. Pull forward and park then get on your boat. Obviously doesn't work too well on a trailer with rollers but with boards it works great.
