Has anyone towed a jetski behind there boat while underway.

Trying to figure out how to keep the jetski from banging against the motor when stopping or slowing down.

Thx

We have towed ours with a bridle and about 40' of tow line (more or less depending on water conditions). The ski tends to slow down faster than our :macx: so we have never had an issue with it bumping into the transom. Make sure to check the owners manual of the ski on how to tow your model. The Kawasaki Jetski brand (at least our year of ski) doesn't seem to need any special towing prep work, however, Sea-doos will flood if not prepped properly for tow. I imagine other brands have their specific idiosyncrasies also.

Ive used my boarding ladder as a solid tow bar for my 100#plastic dink on the Atlantic, for a 10 mile tow under power/sail, but a Jetski is a much bigger load.

Sumner has some nice pics of his tow setup if you search his posts with the helpful little yellow arrows.

I would look at some form of bracket with flottation capacities. Check with Armstrong brakets or another make for such a bracket for heavy outboards motors. I would even consider some kind of use for the seadoo . in shallow waters ...beware of algeas.
