R2AK - a Macgregor entered!

Hey folks! I loosely follow the Race 2 Alaska every year, as it transits the coastline of my home province, BC. Partly I follow the race because whoever does the writing for that site is genius and I find almost everything hilarious. I also like to see what entrants come up with to meet the requirements of NOT using a motor (not even having a motor on board) during the event.

Anywho, they've been sending out emails periodically in the months leading up to the 2019 edition (which incidentally started yesterday, June 3). A few weeks ago they issued a bio for a father/son duo who specifically bought a Macgregor 26 to use in the event. The bio is pretty hilarious, but the crux of the comedic part hinged on it being the motorsailor version - the photo in the bio (which includes a stern-wheeler set-up as the human power portion!) was of a 26 classic (couldn't tell if D or S).

I sent them a short email of gentle correction:
Quick note on the R2ache boat - they have a Macgregor 26 ‘classic’ - only up to 15hp and not a planing hull.

I should know, as I have the newer 26, called a 26M, which can handle up to 90hp (unofficially)... although I have a small motor on mine (which begs the question, why own it with no big motor?! lol - we wanted a Winnebago of the lake and that’s what we got haha! Lots of headroom belowdecks.)

Regardless, the bio was hilarious, as usual.

Cheers

They added a correction section at the end of the bio, which in and of itself is hilarious!
