Modtracker System

Post by Heath » Fri Jul 11, 2008 8:51 am

For those of you that have been on the website for a while, you will find some changes to the modtracker system compared to what you were used to. Previously, you had to enter a name and password when you submitted mods. This has been replaced with links to your forum id, so in order to post new mods, you will need to be logged in to the forum. I have also added a link that you can use to claim your previosly-submitted mods which were entered using the old system.

In order to do this, view the set of mods that were submitted under the name that you used (the Author), and you will see a link for attaching the mods to your forum ID. To do this automatically, you need to know the email address and password that you entered when you submitted the mod. This information was emailed to you at the time of submission. Enter this correctly, and the mod will automatically be assigned to your forum ID. If you have forgotten the email address or password that you used, first try what you think it might have been. If it doesn't work, you will be presented with a form that you can use to submit a request for me to make the change for you. If you do this, please include a short note to help me identify that the claim is legitimate ("I forgot my password, but my email address was") or something like this. If the claim seems valid, I will process the change for you.

Also, if you need more than the three pictures that you are initially allowed, please send me a request with the mod number and the reason why you need more pictures, and I will consider increasing your quota for a given mod. This request process and other similar things will be added in a more integrated fashion to the system in the next round of upgrades.

The new Modtracker system is still a work in progress with more features planned for the future, so stay tuned!
