Being new to MacGregor's and Mast raising in general and not a trusting person, thought to use my main sheet down to the port side winch mainsheet is attached between the port cleat and the forestay. As a side benifit it kept the furiler from dragging on the deck as much and saved a couple trips forward to move the drum towards the bow. I'll have to come up with another method for lowering as the cam cleats won't allow you to back up without going up to the bow and releasing the line. Btw had to loosen one of the baby stays a bit to seat the mast prior to hoisting either my rig shrank over the winter or my Mac got wider
