Looking to pick up a SS gas (just the small propane bottle) BBQ for my 26M, any suggestions that have worked well for you would be greatly appreciated.
Baddog - I have the Magma 15" dia marine kettle (WM #5925128) and am very pleased with it. With the optional rail mount, I can attach it to a stanchion in the cockpit area and sit and grill. I've had mine for 18 months with no problems. The Magma nested cookware works well with the grill also.

Very happy with my Magma 15" Kettle 2 grill. I like it better than my home grill as it cooks fast and evenly.
I mount it directly behind the captain's seat attached via the rail mount on the port arch. This ensures that it is never in the way when operating and it's easy to cook on in this position.
I do not remember anyone complaining about the unit they use. No matter what the make.
I use a Kuuma STOW N GO stainless steel gas grill. It has a 160 square inch cooking area, and puts out up to 13,000 BTU's It is attached to my starboard stern rail seat. Similar to how Q1 uses it on his port seat. It works great. If I am going ashore with it, I just unscrew it from its fitting, and it has little fold out legs so I can use it anywhere Its shape allows me store it in any of the bilge storage areas other than the aft bunk.

Cheapest prices I could find and he's got all the color matching accessories like covers and mounting brackets.
Yea, the magma is a great grill. No need to look any further.

When we need it, take it out and mount it on the mount
The mount is mounted on an antenna mount mounted to the mast support.
Good one!

Thanks
I have since modified it with a piece of plywood clamped on to carry our 1.5 hp outboard (about 11#) for our dingy! Double duty mod!
Can use the bbq with the captain's seat up or down. I usually use it with the seat down.

We don't store our grill. We just leave it out there and have the Magma cover that matches our sail covers. We have the stern seats and it clamps on and out of the way. Love that silly grill. We use it all the time and store the propane canisters in the motor well.
I told you earlier that I don't know of anyone who dislikes the BBQ they have. All you have to do is research which unit works best for you. Do you want a unit that has folding feet, so that it can be used on land. Do you want a unit that has attachments that allow you to make pizza. All of them work well on board.
Let us know what you decide on. I'm sure the posts will continue.
