Anchor riding sail is very effective to stop the sailing back and forth at anchor. On my 26x, I cut the back stay and then permanently reattached it to create a connection point for the sail.
I switched to a stern anchor years ago to eliminate the ‘hunting’ (swinging) issue on my 26X. Another benefit is that it’s easier to drop/retrieve my 14# Delta when single handling. I mounted a bow roller under the bottom step of the swim ladder - with the ladder tied horizontally it serves to drop/retrieve anchor without damaging gelcoat (don’t use when riding on the anchor (I use a bridle)). With ladder up (sailing), the Delta stores on the roller with chain in the engine well and line coiled from stern pulpit.
TOTALLY solved the ‘hunting’ (swinging) issue. Closehaul

Is that a stern anchor along with the bow anchor or simply anchoring off the stern?
