Mirage Drive cruising Sailboat

Here is the web page describing the Mirage Drive for Hobie:
http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaking/miragedrive.html
..
There is a research student's web page out there somewhere about using the same principle to push large ships up to 30 knots using twin rudders. This web site had a video of a scale model "miraging" along with its rudders.
..
The Dual Rudder of the Mac26 could be modified to provide both steering and propulsion. This would free up the center rear for getting in and out of the water. Also, if the power source happenned to be an electric generator, plentiful electric power would come in handy in so many ways.
