My New Enclosure

Post by beene »

First time on the water with the new stern seats and full enclosure

I went sailing with the enclosure up, head sail only.

Was quite strange sailing while being completely "Inside"

No sun, No cold breeze off the water unless I opened a window

I think its going to be a good summer for sailing

Cheers

Very nice. I am lusting after a full enclosure. Who did the fabrication/install? May I ask about the cost?

Yep u will certainly enjoy the added comfort of the full enclosure & the exhilarating view the stern rail seats afford whether sitting on a slip or anchored & especially while heeled sailing whether on the low or high side as the Dowsar Stern rail seats r perched outboard on the Port & S/B aft stern which makes it great for shooting video,s as u r sitting right out there
Image

I prefer my Persian Tweed Green tho :P
this vid shows u just how big the aft section of the Dowsar enclosure is mid section removed while sailing cutter rigged

Beautiful.
I've had one for years. It's a good place to let the losers smoke a cigar and have a scotch, which they can no longer afford, during poker nights at the docks.

Well Tom
One thing we all have in common colour regardless we all got that great comfort zone that the full enclosure allows us , it doubles the living space of our boats :)
I know G is gonna just luv it

Technically you cannot sail with a full enclosure, you can only motor with a full enclosure up. But it looks like a very professional job. Wow. :o

hate to burst ur bubble but I have , basically unzip the front zipper on the tact side to allow the mainsheet to go through & ur good , u have to peek out opposite side window to view mainsail shape , on a blow u,d want to remove the roof of the center section but u still get a lot of protection

just sayin that's all

Yeah, that would work. Or if you were to unzip something as Highlander suggests. I don't have a full enclosure, only a Bimini and Dodger. I guess I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need a full enclosure. :(

I was only pointing this out because sailing with only a headsail, is still sailing 8) :D
