Post by DavidB »

I have a 1988 Macgregor 26 D I need to replace the dagger board. Does anyone know of a after market company that makes a replacement.

Busted 88 Mac 26D daggerboard

David:
Go right to the source Mac Gregor in Costa Mesa CA, talk with Bill (949)642-6830. When I busted my board on my old D, he sent me a new one.
It seems they make a few of the old parts...I always wondered if th M's board works on the D, since the new board they shipped me seemed to be smaller than the old one.

On the down side David this could take a while, I would start repairing my old board now, you may be done with it quicker and it's a good learning experiance.

Best of luck, Ric

Thanks for the number. while im waiting on macgregor. I have an old glue and stitch design for a rudder i tink i can adapt it to the dagger board. I have about a foot of the dagger board to go by for the measurments.
