Going Dinghy?
Local Costco has just floored an ideal Mac dinghy, 9.5' Nordic (s) for $700. High pressure air floor, multi-chamber, oars, bag etc. Appears to be identical to my Baltic which has 4-person /10hp rating. BTW, Not the same as their 'online' Costco rafts. Thinking I paid $850 or more with shipping. Check em out. I use a light 3.5hp 4s Tohatsu...5mph or so at Tahoe...slow but easy to handle and an online price about the same as dinghy.

Wood Floor
I have a wood-floored Sevylor. It is a nice enough dinghy AS LONG AS YOU ARE ALWAYS GOING TO ASSEMBLE IT ON THE DOCK OR SHORE, and then plan to always tow it behind.
Putting the wood floor together is an absolute pain in the rump and definitely not something you can do on the foc's'le of a Mac.
In other words, I pretty much hate the wood-floored dinghy and have used it exactly once since I bought it 3 years ago.
Just my 2 cents - go with the inflatable floored dinghys.

Dingy bracket install
I just bought a 6 HP Tohatsu 4 stroke short shaft I plan to use on my new dingy; and want to also install per Duane Dunne's starboard bracket. I have a Fulton with a 14.5 vertical lift. My problem is that I can't seem to get to the mods page to get details on that install. Is that down?
My main questions are location of the access hole and on the transom wall and height of the bracket. I plan to use backing plate.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Going Dinghy
Like Duane D, we strongly prefer the air floor versions....lighter, smaller storage, etc. Re dual use as kicker/dinghy motors...in our experience, you need a long shaft and the long-throw Fulton to pull this off. I can attach my mod on the kicker mount to anyone sending a PM with your direct email address.

it was $699, although the on-line price shows $799 (can't figure that one out).

Costco Inflatable
the only thing that i don't like is that it's heavier (by 20#) than the Sevy Tek 250 that i currently have.
