The black trim on my 26M has apparently oxidized over the past several years and has a dull, partially grayish appearance. I have tried cleaning it with a boat cleaner, and also with some products obtained from an auto supply dealer. They help, but the results don't seem to last more than a few months. - Does anyone have suggestions for an efficient method or product for removing the oxidation and getting back the original dark black color?

Thanks,

You can read as recommended or hire a kid and give him a bottle of gel coat polish - I kinda like the kid idea but my 14 yr old is a republican, he takes my money and thinks it builds character if I do it myself.
My black spots were looking dull so I waxed them again, Still a little dull so I sprayed on some CRC 2-26 Lube and it sure did shine for a few weeks. CRS 2-26 is a superior grade of wd-40. You are an Electrican also and its always on the Jobs over here in America.
a few years ago had an old dirt bike. Plastic tanks and side cases, I never washed or waxed it I was soaking some parts in PB Blaster Super penetrating oil. I used that same rag to wipe off the plastic tank of the bike. It shined like new. A couple of coats and some elbow greese and it looked great, but I dont know if I want to chance PB blaster on my beautiful Mac yacht.
