Swing up rudders for M19

Post by captainjohn »

A while ago, someone posted a mod for the M19 where the rudders could be pulled up from inside the cockpit and then lowered into position when sailing, just like on the 26X and M. It sure would make beaching and shallow water sailing easier. I can't seem to find it in the mod search function. Anyone have any ideas?

I do recall reading about Mac 19 rudders recently. It might not have been posted into MacMods.

Try searching the forum on Mac19 rudder, which yields a reasonable number of posts for your scanning.
(Mac19 also catches mac 19 ... spaced)

You might also want to check out the Yahoo group...

There are several rudder mods shown in the photos section. A main difference is using cable versus rope. I did mine from there with cable and am very happy with the results.
