"Poop Deck" How to?

This is my "strange question of the day"
How do I get my dog to poop (and pee) in the cockpit.
He's 4 years old and really, really wants to poop on grassy surfaces only.

I know there are many of you that take extended trips with a pooch.

What's the trick?

We know some people with a live aboard catamaran. For this very purpose they have some shallow wooden boxes filled with soil and planted with grass seed. Hey presto "onboard lawn"

However, size of dog relative to size of Mac may mean this solution is not viable

How about a small slab of astroturf?

Advantage: you can sling it overboard to clean it!
