Swing Keel Bolts

Post by 72Mac22 »

Would someone guide me as to the function of these bolts? It appears to me that the lower, larger bolt is the pivot point. The upper right and the upper left are what I don't know. The left is just a hole. Would it be the for the "lock down bolt" ? Thanks.

You pretty much answered your own questions. I'd suggest to dowload the manual of the V22 from the Resources section of this site, it has a pretty good drawing and explanatinson these keel bolts. Good luck! :macm:

Ditto. The right bolt, if I remember the literature correctly, holds in a rubber bump-stop that the keel rests against while in the down position.

You're absolutely right. A great explanation was located in the manual section. I had read through it before but forgot it the details. I like the part about not sticking your finger in the hole.

Thanks.
