Re: Cleveland boat show 2011
Thanks for the information.. I guess I will pass on the 130 mile trip. I told my brother to forget it.
He stills wants to go. He wants to ride the ferris wheel..
The Pittsburgh Boat show starts this weekend. It also has been downsized and 98% motorboats.
Every few years they might have a hobie cat or small day sailors.
There are quite a few Lake Erie fishing Charters who set up booths here.
Thanks. I`ll stay home and shovel the snow.. expecting 6 inches tommorrow.

Spent five years there (Lived in Medina, not Cleveland) and worked in the Terminal Tower (what a name for a building) and then in Middleburg Heights.
HOWEVER, I did get promoted to California from there

If I were serious about looking at sailboats:
http://www.strictlysailmiami.com/
Plus it's a great place to visit and Key Largo is about 40 minutes away (think Camp Pennekamp snorkling!)

If I had the cash, I would be looking for a new Sailboat. In Sept 2010 I bet $10.00 with the bookies that the Cleveland browns would win the Super bowl, and with my winningings ($350,000) buy a boat.jschrade wrote:If I were serious about looking at sailboats:

I went all in on the Bills winning the trophy this year. If I had won, I could have bought the entire boat market...

But George, after 2 or 3 trips to the islands you'll have spent that difference in gas.albion wrote:John, I will probably be at the show on Wednesday or Thursday.I went and paid my docking fee for the year today.COPPER KETTLE MARINA in Loraine Oh.$715 per season.I was paying $1300 at the Catawba marina.I will put the new TROPHY in there in April.Still miss the room in the Mac though. All the best and happy new year to you.BTW I got $500 more for the Mac than I paid for the new Trophy when I sold it.
