Oh btw I though the forum might like to know that I now have a stand up paddle board for short hops to shore with my small dogs and the way I lashed it to the boat helps the roaming around at anchor thing.
It's tied along the back and middle stanchion. Comes up about even with the life line.
It does obscure the windows a bit but I don't care. The board is very light and easy to pull up and stow. The fact that it seems to settle the boat down is a huge plus. Yes it's added windage while sailing. No more so then weather curtains.
