Rather simplistic ? What is your preferred method to mark standing rigging for future reference once you have the rig properly tuned? I have simply used rigging tape on a non-trailerable boat in previous years, but find this gets a bit of wear and tear on the trailerable. A better way?
Jeff
nothing to mark on a macgregor rig! with the angled spreaders the rig tightens as you bring it up. no need to adjust anything. the mast raising system is very heplful to bring adequate tension into the rig.
Only thing to mark with your indelible black marker is the jib halyard. You mark it so you can cleat it ahead of time when it's about to hold the mast raising pole.
Might think about tying the tail to a bail below in case the cleat Mason's on you.
