Re: Annual Mad Men of Ontario rendezvous III
Well it looks like we'll have at least 5 macs at one point or another this weekend.
Sugar Magnolia we don't really have an event calendar but maybe highlander or beene wan't to weigh in since I won't be there on Friday. kasmith21 just sent me a pm and he's based out of Bronte, he said he may try to join us on the water on Saturday. You should try to contact him.

Wow! Happy to see so much interest!
I am slipped in 18
Got in 1pm thurs

I think Highlander will be putting in this aft and will be in 15
I picked up Delevi from the airport yesterday
Flew in from San Fransisco just to sail with us Canuks
We will be hoping to sail today, Fri, for a few hours staring around noon
We were there last night around 1 am and saw Crikey's boat

Looking fwd to seeing all
Will be there every day around noon for a sail
There is a free dock right in front of the marina at Snug Harbour Restaurant
Just have to go in and have a pint
Customers only
Heck the beers cold so that's a good deal
I can pm my num to anyone wanting it

Post plenty of pictures. I know you can only do three at a time, but wet our appetites with a few now.

Heeling..... who meeeeee....StarSpun wrote:Hey....ok, do y'all know what day you guys are planning to sail to Toronto Harbour? I'm sure it depends on the wind, but, thought I'd ask in case.
For example, if you were planning on the Saturday, we would come over early Friday, and then sail back to the Harbour on Saturday with y'all.
Also, if anyone wanted to join us on our boat, we have room. Though, we are newbies and quite tame (I cry over 10 degrees when sober, or 15 degrees after a few drinks! LOL!)
Ohhhh, aaaaand if anyone plans on heeling their boat waaay over one day, I may be open to joining you for a bit if you can 'tolerate' scaring the crap out of a gal. I really have to get over this fear....seriously.

Re: Annual Mad Men of Ontario rendezvous III
There's a lot of cliubs/marinae/docks in the Port Credit / Lakefront Promenade area (and they've moved around too). Want to ensure I've got the right one.
Credit Village Marina. Right up in the mouth of the Credit River, next to the road and north of Snug Harbour. Marina is shaped like a graveyard headstone.
Looks like there's lots of pier frontage, if it's not used up by the Boat Show.
Anyone know what channel they listen on, so I can call when I'm making harbor?

Hi Dave!
Youve got the right one.
Not sure about slips, they're pretty full though. Radio channel 68.

Re: Annual Mad Men of Ontario rendezvous III
Hey everyone!
Friday evening was a blast. It was awesome to meet everyone....what a great bunch of folks!!!!
Sorry we bailed Saturday....we drifted for a bit out there waiting for y'all but there wasn't a BREATH of wind so I wasn't sure what was going on. It was dead air and hot which meant a perfect day for Hanlans, so we motored it full speed for anchor. I know you guys were planning on sailing to the harbour, so if anyone is still checking this forum over there, please let me know when this is taking place, and maybe we can join ya? I have a big group of people coming out to anchor with us today, and then the Cherry Beach thing around 8pm if anyone wanted to join. We'll be going out for an early sail in the harbour before all this takes place, leaving in about an hour. Monday we are free to sail if everyone is still together and going out with some good wind:-) I don't have anyones celly, so please PM me with someones and I will text back asking for details:-)
Oh and if you are going anywhere near Hanlans today, we'll be right in close to the beach, with lots of inflatable toys, and people flying off the front of the boat, LOL!
Cheers!

Hey StarSpun!
Yup - it was great to see everybody. We got some sailing in with the venerable Crikey. But there were a few delays (fueling, etc) with others getting out. We recognized your boat way out on the lake from far away by the graphic on your sail. It looks awesome, BTW.
We had to split on Saturday; would like to have had a go (for maximum altitude!) at the Hanlan’s Point happenings, sounds like you guys have all the toys!

Ontario Rendezvous
Just want to say how great a time I had when visiting Beene and sailing Lake Ontario. What an awesome time!
Great to finally meet Highlander and see the battleship in all her glory.
Some great dock gatherings. Cheers to Highlander, Rocky, Kat, Krikey & Mrs. Krikey, Bernardo, Dave, Virginia and everyone else who dropped in. Geoff, great job putting this together. I had a blast! Would welcome you guys to SF for some great sailing if you should ever head this way.
