Honda B100L DC Output

I have a B100L Honda outboard and it has an output for charging a battery. The plug came with the motor, you just need to supply the wire. Anyone do this before? Its a weird plug, so I assume that there is a polarity issue.

Correct, if it is the same as the 12v plug on a portable generator the vertical pin on yours is positive but this can be easily tested with a voltmeter.
