Rags up for the first time

Post by MartinRocliffe »

Managed to get "Betty R" rigged on my own, and onto water at Woy Woy 8)

Motored under Rip Bridge and out onto Broken Bay.
Finally got the Sails up ! Even my Wife Mags felt obliged to Helm a little bit :)

Mac26X sailed beautifully, and I was delighted how stable she was with tank flooded and Board down.
Later we dropped the sails and motored back into Brisbane Water to meet friends at Koolewong. :P
They are now Sailing converts!

Even managed to de-rig solo, drive back to Lock up, Flush thru and wash down..............and home in time for dinner.
What a fabulous day.
A few more photod added.

Hi Martin, the look on your face at the helm says it all. Are you sure you have enough fenders out? :)

Looking good Martin,
I had some horrible days in my first year with the Mac (still do occasionally) where everything went wrong. Looks like your not having such problems

Looks like you have some nice sailing grounds there too 8)
