HELP!!! UHF (unidentified hole found)

Post by CharityBull »

So, after just buying my awesome 89 Mac 26D, I was admiring it and stumbled upon this. As a new Mac owner I do not know if the hole is supposed to be there or I will sink once I get it in the water because of it. Please help?????

Yep, it's cool. That's the drain from your boat's sink. Go below, look for your sink drain and follow the hose (hopefully there is one!) and it should lead directly to this hole. That hose is one of the few known possible leak areas on the Mac's, so while you're there pour some water through the sink and ensure it's secure.

I agree with Kevin and make sure there is the "Air Lock Loop" in the drain hose. If there is not? IMHO buy new longer hose and re-install with the air lock loop.
