Lower Cape Fear Mac Roundup
Good Morning,
I know it's one of the coldest weeks of the year, so I'm trying to look ahead to the spring to stay warm.
For the past few years, there has been a Mac-Rally in Southport/Wilmington area and I'm hoping to continue that this year (even though the area lost 2 of it's best sailors to Mississippi last year)
Would anyone be interested in a Late April (29th-May1st) trip?
I chose this time since I'm in the middle of large project and will likely not be in the state very much from May-August.
If these dates I'd also like to hear what itineraries people are interested in.
A few options.
1)
Fri Night - Southport Marina
Sat - Sail to Downtown Wilmington/Masonboro Island
Sun -- Back to Southport
2)
Fri Night - Carolina Beach (State Park, or other Marina)
Sat - Sail to BaldHead Island/Southport/Masonboro Island (on the outside?)
Sun -- Back to Carolina Beach
Possibilities are endless, any suggestions?

He hasn't sold it yet!
I'm hoping Tom can join us, I'll reach out to the 2 other Mac Owners in my Marina.
Any issues opening it up to non-mac members?

You go Walter. Glad to see someone is picking up the slack.
Come on Erik, keep the boat until this sail is over. you can't pass up a sail such as this.
Wish we could be there but alas the job will not let us.

You and Angie would have to be top rated for documentation and production quality alone! Really enjoy your pis and videos.

I'm interested...live in Wake Forest. We take care of my wifes parents so might not be able to but we would like to
Hey vkmaynard I noticed you live in Apex...you keep your boat at the Jordan lake marina? I bought ours from a fellow there (boat was Happy Daze) and when I was leaving I saw another 26x with a full enclosure with a lot of upgrades.. If it's yours sometime in the spring/summer i would like to swing by and take a look at your enclosure

Re: Lower Cape Fear Mac Roundup
I wish! I would like to do a longer trip hitting Cape Fear and Charleston again plus check out Savannah. Work commitments will limit our windows of opportunities again this year--but 2016 is my last year as a state examiner so we'll be sailing more again in 2017 on...SENCMac26x wrote:So Doug, can we pencil you and Angie in?
We really enjoyed Lockwood's Folly which is south of Cape Fear.

I was surprised and a little bummed to see the Hartles putting Knot Shore up for sale. Perhaps he just wants a blue one.... Did I say that out loud?!

Count me in! I would vote for #2.
Yes, Knot Shore is for sale... http://macgregorsailors.com/cgi-bin/pho ... AdNum=2306
....... but I plan on using it until it sells!
Seawind: Funny!
Galactica : I will never turn to the blue side! (maybe a dark navy)
