I'm gonna need a season on the Chesapeake getting to know my new 26X before setting off further afield, but I'm in touch with an old favorite high school teacher who lives in Southport, and I've told him I might swing on down thereabouts with the boat NEXT year, either on the ICW or maybe just trailer her on down. So, if there's a similar shindig in 2017, you might find me there, gawking around all cluelessly at your gear, still all "newbie-like", the stench of pepperoni still wafting from my PFD.

We are starting season 7 with my beloved boat and I still stand around all newbie-like gawking at everyone's mods and gear.... There aren't many Macs in my region so it's way-cool to see boats and people I know from online!

I really wish we could shoot out to the coast for this event again.... Work demands are preventing... :(

Chinook will be cruising through the Cape Fear area on our way north. We are just south of Savanah now, and plan to get to Norfolk VA by April 19, so that puts us around Cape Fear in the next couple of weeks, too early for your group sail. Any boats along our route when we pass through we'd love to see.

What's the latest? Sounds like Private Island may have to miss. If you are planning to come respond and let me know. April 29th-May 1st.

Thanks,

Hey guys, I'm really sorry but the timeline for my project was adjusted and 4/29 is no longer a doable time for me as a 3 day weekend. I might be able to squeeze an overnight.

Would a later time in early June work better for some people?

Walter,
That will work for me as well. I don't plan on using the slip till end of May.

June is better for us as well... I've got the X all tore apart doing upgrades... No way I could make april 29 unless I brought it down as a construction site

I also Vote Option #2 to bald head...nice trip have done it

Reschedule is OK with me.

I am going to reserve a space at city dock the following week for UNCW graduation.
