Hi
It looks like it could be possible to push a toilet under the aft dinette seat, this is to have a little bit more space showering or simply washing hands. It will be a compost toilet, or, if it doesn't fit a porta.
I will have to shim the door a little for my shoulders and elbow room. 2 " at the hinges and 4" at the end should be sufficient.
We prefer the X to the M for many reasons, the pizza oven and sliding kitchen is better on the M, but the head is not. If we would get a M or a Tattoo 26, we would add a head/shower aft at stern. Folding for trailering.
My wife totally hates the carpet in the newer ones.
thnkas for the inputs

mac 26 x, mod to head possible ?
Re: mac 26 x, mod to head possible ?
i have extended headroom by making New door and a New corner piece of walls toward center of boat so the headroom / forebulkhead now Reach to center of boat and the short longwall stands on boardcasing . its possible to make a slidesystem like you tell about for saving Space. the original headcompartement is too cramped but my rebuild is a little bit better ....

Couldn't you make a fiberglass "bubble" at the head location? Perhaps with some clear plexiglass so that you can shower AND look out at the same time?

We have an X with a 5 gallon porta potty , in the head .
I caulked all the bulkhead seams around the head and installed a drain and sump box .
with a shower curtain across the door .
We can sit on the toilet and shower in there , when necessary .
A bit cramped but works when there aren't any other options .
