What is the official name of this boat?

I have a 1980 Mac 22. Ser# MACG4155M80J

The serial number seems to be a hybrid. The boat has a boat liner and pop-up.

Is it a Macgregor or Venture? Documentation found online would say Venture based on the year. But serial number clearly starts with MAC and the paperwork that came with the boat never mentions Venture anywhere.

Is it a 222, 2-22 or 22-2. I have seen LOTS of conflicting information on this. How would I find out for sure? Doesn't seem to be any company website anymore. They were all taken down or they stopped paying on the website names. Unlike Catalina, MacGregor history is sinking into obscurity.

Sailboatdata .com states its not a venture 22
it says

The MACGREGOR 22 is similar to the VENTURE 222.


Produced 1967-1975
Venture 22 was made 1968-1971
Venture222 was made 1971-1982

So its prob not a Mac22.. but a venture 222 as they show that is the only one produced in 1980.
Unless its a Mac 21? 1980-1985
(*assuming Sailboatdata .com is accurate with its dates..etc)

I looked up the SN
MACG4155M80J
MAC = Macgregor
G = Hull Model : Venture 2-22 1971 - 1982 Pop-top
4155 = serial number of the hull
M80 = 1980 production
J = MAY production

So you have a Venture 222
