Thanks! The only thing I am going to change is to paint the surface facing rearward white like the outside as now it is oyster white like the inside as I was trying to match the inside of the boat. And I am contemplating those white plastic west marine handles and locations as seen in a photo. Later I may consider putting a hinged top while maintaining the slot for the slide in window, that is why I put 4 windows in top and could place a hinge in the middle or possibly figure out a sliding top but that would make the total height somewhat taller. Ok as is for now, no trouble getting in or out.
I will post just a few more and be done unless anyone ask for more. And the hardest part of the project were cutting those first two side pieces since the angle has to be cut(sanded) on a curve to match the boat closely....that and the curves for the top.....actually that was challenging and fun! Now on to the ST 1000 autopilot, emergency/steering....lots of great post to view on those topics! Thanks everyone...I am enjoying getting to know the forum.

And thank you for showing the interim pictures... if it's not too much trouble, can you give some details... like... the gray board material, the corner filler material. It looks very stout... Is it something you feel fine with people sitting/standing on... aka... grand-children move faster than can be warned.

Hello and thanks guys. The black board is 3/4 thick coosa board and the white is west system epoxy and micro balloons mixed into a thickened mixture so it would not run out of the gaps to badly. Masking tape kept most of it in place. The coosa board is being used in many marine applications, impervious to water, stronger and lighter than the same size ply and does not need fiber glassed although I did glass the seems inside and out for strength along with stainless screws when first assembled. I epoxied the entire shell before sanding and paint because although the surface is smooth it has very small holes in that sucks up paint unless epoxied first. it is very strong and I can stand on it but it spread a bit at the opening (and went back when I got off it, 195 lbs) so when I installed on the boat I put the hinges to butt against it which now keeps it from spreading when stood on but I do not plan to do that anyway.....sitting on it is nice. 4 x 8 sheet weights 48 lbs, softwood ply weighs 61 +. Its not cheap but I wanted it to last and not worry about water intrusion. I used about 5/8 and a smidge of a sheet....really odd shapes and a lot of waste. If I would have had patterns might could have saved some. Windows are 1/4 smoked lexan, recessed with router to be flush, sealed into place with marine clear sealant and recessed stainless screws.

Yeah! Mine was in my father-in-law's yard for three years next to two very nice bass boats. Father said many people drove up his long driveway to ask about buying the Mac. Never commenting on the bass boats and this is Bass-fishing country... closest sailing location is hours away.

I’ve only done a sideways look at the lowered mast but one could make a removable slit section hatch in a hard dodger to lower the mast through......
