Helped a new friend do a few repairs on a boat owned by an amazing woman. She wanted her boat in competition even if she didn't feel up to being at the helm while racing anymore. Wound up getting to crew on her boat during the Pensacola Fish Class championship. The last known eight seaworthy boats were all there. Our boat is the "1" boat. Our best single finish was a third (which was more of a miracle than we expected given the competition). Our helmsman, had to find a crew and train them with only the Fairhope series to practice on the week before. What are the odds that the other crewman was my old high school friend that I hadn't seen in over 30 years? Fortunately, Frank had more racing experience than I. Great weekend of very hard racing and fun. Pensacola Yacht Club put on a great event! The wives had a great time at the yacht club and terrorizing Pensacola while their idiot husbands were out playing in their little boats...

Symptoms? What made you get tested?
Cold symptoms came on. Occasional cough. Was supposed to go see grandtwins this weekend. They are just 2 so haven't been vaccinated. Took a test to make sure I wasn't taking it up to them. Good thing I did.
So far, it's been the equivalent of an average cold. Glad I was vaccinated.
Two of my kids are in healthcare, so I'm getting loads of advice and questions. Had to get a pulse-ox meter to satisfy them. They said I needed to take readings to see when I was having trouble breathing. I told them that if I was having trouble breathing, I wouldn't need the meter to tell me. But, you can guess who the Admiral listened to.

Sounds like you have lots of good people in your orbit. Good that you are vaxxed. No telling what you would be going through otherwise.
Well, you will have some time to find another project. On gloomy days, I get lost in how to videos on youtube. Although you probably could make a bunch of them. Hey.....that's an idea.
Update: I took a second rapid test 24 hours after the initial positive result - just to confirm. It was negative. So, I decided to get the long test done, which is supposedly more accurate. Just got the results back and I'm sick, but it's NOT COVID. So, very relieved that I wasn't around my good friends with a freakin' highly infectious virus. They were pretty happy about it, too.
Moral of this story: Don't take the rapid test. Get the long test. It is unpleasant, but worth it.

Hopefully, you will be back to 100% and on to the next project.
We got the Pfizer and are not in the group for a booster. However, we just got the flu vax, because who wants to be sick? Had the flu from hull a few years back and don't want a repeat.
