Ski Behind 26X?

Post by PeteC »

I am sure this has been covered before but a search turned up nothing useful.

Who has skied behind their 26X and what were the conditions?
-Engine?
-Number of people or weight?
-Anything else need to be considered?

I am planning to get a 26X, with the 50hp Honda. Can I reasonably expect to ski with four 150 lb people on board, one of them skiing?

(TonyHouk(at 210 lbs): you indicated that you ski behind your 26X, hope you reply. http://macgregorsailors.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=413}

Thanks,

Pete,
I have skiied behind my X. I have a nissan 50 two stroke. I had three people in the boat and me skiing. I had most of my normal junk on board. I used a set of wide skis that helped. Normal day in Charleston's harbor so conditions weren't optimal for showing off. We did past a lot of sailboat coming in from a no wind race and they were aplauding. If you have any more questions email me. Happy sails, Tony

As long as you like skiing at half the normal speed on TWO skis, you will be happy.

Skip the skis, the X is a great tube and wake board/knee board boat.
