Macgregor Owners Spring Break Meet Up in FL
Date is March 17-19 2023.
Had a great time meeting other Mac owners so let's do it again. With trouble i had and some had docking our Macs let's make it easier so lets "raft up" at Anclote Key. No docking skills needed. =)
FAQ
Best boat ramp to use?
Anclote River Boat Ramp
1119 Baillies Bluff Road, Holiday, FL 34691
$10 a day for parking and it's about 3 miles away from the island.
What to bring?
it's a camp out and there's no running fresh water or electricity in the island. There is a porta potty but great thing about our boat is it came with a porta potty

If you'd like it to be. Last year we had people just show up for Saturday night.

I’d have to sail Up from the keys so it’s a bit of a hike for me,

Hello … definitely interested.
We went to the island last year.
Actually haven’t had the boat out since. Shortly afterwards we adopted our daughter, but we are working to get the boat ready for the spring.
Is the idea to beach and hang?
Then stay the night on the anchored/beaches boat?

Hey congrats on the addition to your family. Yes plan is just anchoring up and chilling in the beach, doing some sailing etc. At least this time no stress on having to deal with docking. That was an adventure last year for sure. LolJaxMacX wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 6:29 pm Hello … definitely interested.

Come out! I sold my 19 last year when I found my 26m. Now I'm selling my M to keep my X. Lolmiamistyle wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 6:10 am This sounds really fun.

Re: Macgregor Owners Spring Break Meet Up in FL
Less than 2 weeks left til the meet up. Here my planned itinerary and group activity. Open to suggestions for the group activity. If you got some suggestions comment below!
Friday I'm planning on arriving at the ramp by 1pm. Launch and head to the island. Do a group sunset sail/cruise around 5pm. Have dinner and bonfire at night at Anclote Island north end.
Saturday morning make breakfast. Do a sail/cruise to Clearwater pier starting at 1pm. Head to 3 rooker Island chill and camp there for the night. I'm not sure camping is allowed on the island but nice thing about Macs is we can sleep in our boats. =)
Sunday morning breakfast/hangout. Might do some fishing depending on how I feel then head to the ramp at 2pm.

Re: Macgregor Owners Spring Break Meet Up in FL
I expect to start moving that way Tuesday morning. I know it's still almost a week out but I'm a little concerned with the weather forecast for the weekend. How protected is that area when the wind is coming out of the south?
