Venture 17 - Hull ID location

My Venture 17 does not have a hull ID in the right rear corner. Is there any other place that they put them as a backup or alternative. How do I register the boat if one cannot be located?

What year? HINs were not required until 1972.

Not sure about registration if it’s a pre-HIN boat. It likely varies by state, so you’ll want to check with the DMV or whoever issues them.

Not sure of the year. Thats part of what im trying to figure out. The boat was free and came with zero documentation. Is there an easy way to help determine the year model? What years were they produced? My guess is this boat was built pre-hin requirement.

Any distinctive markings or features during the various years?
Also show me your floor inside the cabin. Does it have one? or do you just stand on the fiberglass?

Sorry can’t help with that one, I have a Mac 25, not a V17. I just chimed in because I know Ventures are the older boats and I know that the HIN requirement only goes back so far.
