No trees were killed to send this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Written by Lisa Mighetto, wife of Frank Mighetto.

Frank has been a big supporter of Macs for a very long time, albeit a controversial one. His posts on “Sailing Anarchy” are legendary. Frank hasn’t been seen here (under his original ID at least) since 2013 - not quite sure why, but there you go.

Interesting article. Gave good props to Todd and Cheryl at BWY for what they continue to do as our parts dealer.

The story draws from Roger's own story here. https://www.macgregorsailors.com/howitstarted.html

I don't know Frank and Lisa personally, but I see their boat at one of the big marinas in Seattle from time to time. They are definitely still active. The boat is very distinctive with teal canvas. Lisa has written numerous articles for 48 North, usually with excellent photos of the Macgregor.

I appreciate your posting of the link to this great article! I read, back in the day, everything that Frank wrote and also read back then all the stories from boating snobs who ridiculed him. I have been a 20 year satisfied Mac owner for over 20 years, partially due to Frank. Thanks again for posting the link and I am pleased that Roger is active.
