I last left you with the boat off the trailer attempting to replace the bunks and working on the centerboard raising (see my other thread regarding the centerboard).
Well, I got a good look at the trailer: bunks were rotten and it looks like the trailer was used in salt water.
- Took off the wheels, spare, bumper bits, lights, etc.
- Stripped the wiring (had issues w grounding and was cracking thru to the conductor).
- Took off what was left of the winch (first time retreaving the boat and the spindle wrenched in half from the rust).
- Got it sprayed with rust converter acid.
- Got several week spots rewelded and/or a doubler added.
- Painted with Rustolium's rust converter paint (just what I had on hand).
- New bunks made, wraped, and mounted (using 2x4 regular pine and boat bunk cloth).
- Fixed and regreased the welded on trailer hitch jack (a cotter pin inside was broken, everything was dry and rusted).
- Reinstalled the lights, new winch, rubber bits, wheels, etc
- Rewired with a prewired, jacked covered loom. Fixed multiple issues with grounding (rust converter and paint did a good job sealing the metal).
Putting the trailer back under the boat was much easy going then removing it; one) I had already done it in reverse, and two) I used the the winch hooked to the pull-pit to skooch the trailer back.
[pictures] no idea what I did w the pictures. Ill upload them when I find them:

The boat is finally read for the second test!!! (The first test was to see if it would float and if the water ballast leaked).
Since the first test:
- the above trailer was fixed
- the centerboard winch was added
- the cotter pins were replaced with bolts (half of which were already rusted bolts)
- other stuff I can't remember
