04 26M Table
I’ve searched high and low for pictures on how the table in the 04
fits. I think I’m missing some pieces potentially. I have the sliding metal poles that support both sides of the table. It also seems to have been hinged at some point but nothing to attach it to the boat anywhere in the galley. There are a few holes in the galley, I assume something pokes in there? There’s a few pictures on this site, but the links are all broken. Any help appreciated.

Re: 04 26M Table
I’m goin back more than a couple of decades, but, in October of 2003, when I was looking to purchase a new 26M at the Annapolis boat show, the 2004 M was what was being shown. If I remember correctly, the interior was different from all later M’s. The 2003 & 2004 M’s had a center table with port and starboard seating facing each other; not the dinette set up in later year M’s. The table was in the center of the boat, and folded down to a vertical position. I searched for photos online, but was unsuccessful.
If someone who owns a 2004
could post a photo, that would be great. If I’m wrong
, chalk it up to an old sailors memory.

Re: 04 26M Table
Your memory is correct. When I was shopping, the first M I looked at was one of the older models. I don't remember when the change came but the one I looked at had a "fixed" galley and IIRC the table was on the starboard side with a mirrored wall between the table and the bow. Later models added the sliding galley and a more open cabin.
I'm sure we have some M owners who can give us the details.

Re: 04 26M Table
I believe the change was with the 2005
When I went to the Annapolis boat show the next year (2004), the 2005 model was what was being sold. That’s when I bought mine.

Re: 04 26M Table
Thanks so much for this! So my table is a bit different in that it hinges in half and has sliding support brackets to keep the "flappy" half up. I'm clearly missing the bits that slot into the holes. I suspected the holes in the galley were for that, but your picture answers my questions. I'll devise a way to set it up.

Re: 04 26M Table
Yes. The 03-04 boats have several differences from all later
Just happened to be in the market for a sailboat at that moment in time. I actually had the option of buying the very last 04 that my dealer was waiting to be delivered, or buying one of the first 05s. And I saw the very first 05 he sold. Different steering hardware, some rigging (both standing and running) and, of course, no sliding galley.
We preferred the 04 mainly because while it is much easier to navigate the cabin with the table up in the later boats, we preferred the extra cabin space and don’t really use the table much (unless I’m on the computer

Please excuse me if I got this totally wrong, but I’m reading your post as stating the 2005 M has no sliding galley. It does. And I saw the very first 05 he sold. Different steering hardware, some rigging (both standing and running) and, of course, no sliding galley.

Re: 04 26M Table
Yes, I likely said it wrong. Sometimes I see the 03-04 as the ones that are “different”. Sometimes not.

Re: 04 26M Table
One of the most unusual modifications to the interior of an 04 M was done by Bertrand Beaudry. Any photos from that time were posted via Photobucket. Those photos are no longer available. If I remember correctly, he had drawback draperies in front of the aft birth.
