Blue X

Post by Bradders »

I have a blue 1997 X, which was originally exported to the UK in 1999 and is now in France, but I have never seen another. It looks great, (and obviously goes faster than a white one !) and I would be interested to know of any others out there, or if anyone knows how many were manufactured. I'm fairly sure it is an original colour.

apparently 1. Never heard of a blue X. Someone must have painted it at some point. There is a yellow X here in the states that was painted by the owner and looks flawless

Photo from UKMOA Solent Rally July06 with a Blue X bumping a Blue 26M in the Spetsai Cup race. There are at least two Blue X's in the Association. It was at one time also an optional hull colour for the X, nothing new under the sun?

i've seen a dark blue (faded/oxidized) one at the Channel Islands marina in SoCalifornia.
looked like it was done as a mod.

Thanks for the replies and the great photo. There are obviously a few around, although all of them so far (I just heard of another in the south of France) seem to be in Europe. Perhaps they were only for export.

However, the photo clearly proves that the Blue X not only looks great but is also faster than the Blue M, which obviously couldn't go fast enough to keep out of the way ! :)
