Sigh. I can see the Tatoo 26M as a kind of mainstay to keep the $ coming in. I hope they get drawing and coming up with there own ideas soon. I wonder what new hull colors there will be. Teal, perhaps mauve?

I wanted a California boat. I don't want no boat built in Florida or Texas.
It's not a MAC if it's not California as far as I'm concerned.

You can't build only one boat a day when you are set up for 4-5 boats a day. Labor, envirement controls in Ca. don't want high end developments in any type of manifacturing that polutes the air.
Florida is much less restricted but still holds Manifactures responsible in there Manifacture developement.
Labor Cost, plant lower costs and the will of the FL. State to get Manifactures to build here are highly known.

Over here we go to Ned Giblins for the dark beer and irish music and scottish rite center for the games and food, everyone has fun and the pastor at the church is a scott - he says the scott part of him makes him really thrifty. They speak the perfect engish over there. The scotts design ships and the irish make the ships. It's a pretty good combination. "Aye, lest drag and slip, boys we'll built the perfect ship!" as the scotts say. I am Danish - as a Viking I can really appreciate a really thrifty designed boat light enough to carry over land.
Don't want no florida boat - don't want no texas boat.
Only want california boat designed by roger (scott) and built by clay (irish) at the factory in california.

Man, I wish - I hear Roger can single hand that 65 all by himself all the way out in the blue water. I saw the hull for the new one and it's incredible - made of epoxy with windows (submarine hatches) 1 foot above the waterline. It's probably faster than a nuke submarine.
nope - I got the 2013 MAC26M - I have been wanting the "venture" since I was 13 years old. That was the only trailer boat to me that 'looked like a real sailboat' but my dad wanted the Aquarius 23 because my dad was an insurance man and very conservative and EXTREAMLY saftey concious and wanted everything overbuilt. Well, he got it in the A23. Slow and BORING! Great boat, and could take a broadside by a 4 foot wave without even knocking down. While racing in squall winds in Mexico dad called right of way in a regatta and refused to back down to an A21 and we put a 3 foot hole in that guys gunnell. There was not even a scratch on the A23. The A23 was a battleship. (Truth is dad did try to tack away at the last minute but in squall winds our rudder was out of the water).
Hey, that's great, and Peter Barrat built a really fine boat but it was ugly and slow. I wanted the venture. It was fast and sleek and looked like a sailboat! (Not a bathtub).
The California MAC26M is the last boat for me. Don't want no miami vice pink boat and don't want no texas boat with longhorns on the front. Nope - not for me.

There are a LOT of big-name boat manufacturers that are now, and have been, in Florida for a long time...
Besides, flamingos are just plain cool...
