Ok, I’ll try and find time to make a letter-based burgee. But I must warn that right now I’ve got my household in disorder because my whole house is getting a total HVAC upgrade and we are without heat until Friday.

How fortunate that our weather has been extremely mild this week Kevin. I can loan you a kerosene heater.

I realize I’m [several years] late to the party here, but the Admiral has an embroidery machine, and I’m pretty handy with the ol’ Sailrite. A burgee seems a little simpler than cushions and boom covers, at least!

More durable than silkscreen, and I’m content with the materials cost plus a l’il bit for wear and tear on Das Maschines. Then the lion’s share goes to keeping the board running.

Just a thought.

Personaly, I have always liked calling our Macs Waterbago’s. A sail atop an image of a Winnebago makes me smile, but the tartan with the rope “M“ is fine with me.

I would pay $30 for one if it had a pic of a Mac doing 15 knots with a huge wake behind it. Maybe black, blue and white to represent the primary colors of the flag background. Of course, as everyone knows, the black racing stripes are waaaaay cooler than a blue hull.

I have no skills in this. I'm not even sure what an embroidery machine is.

Are any of the patterns above seem doable?

I used to fly my North East Trailer Sailors burgee but that outfit is no longer. I'd pay $30 for a MacBurgee.

It’s basically a cross between a sewing machine on steroids and a CNC mill. Like a 3D printer for thread.

Given what I’ve seen her do with the machine, none of the current proposals present any issue. Each color is just a different layer to the design.

Hopefully the source image is in a vector format, and if not I could retrace. In a former life I did graphic design and prepress and quite a lot of work was translating the random things people thought were print-ready...I’m looking at you, PowerPoint..

If we can find a tartan that works in Sunbrella or other outdoor fabric that would be best for longevity.
