Sorry Seahouse... I actually wasn't aware on the X vs. M... I simply don't know my own boat well enough yet to tell between M and X goose neck.

I can take pictures next time at the boat though if that will help!

Dude ,you are such a outlaw !!!! Just spent the last ten days re wiring all the 12 volt top to bottom ,added 6 12 volt receptacles,with USB chargers ,ran designated power for macerator pump ,Engel and added a 120 watt flexible solar panel and I planned on running a new 120 volt system ,still might ,my boat came to me with a 30 amp twist lock Marine plug in the stern , and a single receptacle ,but charger is hardwired in be for receptacle.I use a gfi strip with and I have not ever needed any more than that ,my a/c draws 4.5 amps and that's the biggest load ,kept everything else 12 volts including flat screen with DVD .changed all lighting to l.e.d .got super low voltage fans .gas stove and grill !

Your boat is going to sink from all that extra weight!

Very happy with our new shore power for sure. Hot water head shower and stern shower used on every trip since install.

Great thread. I thought I would add one more observation concerning the actual shore power plug. Pbase makes a very strong case for the smart plug brand of plugs and cords:
