Thanks, Duane,
It sure would eliminate some back-tracking if a phone call would do the trick.

I'm going to Washington Park. We'll be lauching the 17th about noon and the tides will be good then. We're going to go over to Lopez Island for awhile because Jan can only stay until Tuesday the 20th and then she will be taking the Jeep and trailer back until the the 6th. My company has a much more generous vacation arrangement than hers does. But she will be rejoining me for the Bar-B-Que on the 30th. I'm still fine tuning the float plan. Mostly like Plan B, but going to Fulford instead of Tod, then picking her up from Friday Harbor and going to Stuart. After dropping her back off at Friday Harbor, I'm going to head over to Jones, up to Sucia, Clark, and then Cypress Islands before hauling out on the 6th.

I just read back thru 10 pages of posts on this trip, and saw quite a few people logging on to say they were going.

Lets start a more formal process. Please post the following:

Name....
Boat name....
where you are coming from(home Port).......
route A, B, C or partial routes with dates......
email address....
any reservations made?...Where...
Launching from......

That should be enough for now. I will post a link to this information, so we can see how many we got on board. If I can get my son to create a webpage for this trip I will...or Duane???

Thanks and on with the planning. Anyone know a good internet source for the Canadian chart we need?

Thanks for posting the info...It looks like it was a great decision to plan weekend round ups and then with so many people going everywhere, others can "shop" around for the best trip.

More news in the NDI / CHS battle. I received this email today from NDI.

If you are planning to get NDI E-Charts I'd do it soon before the whole thing becomes a giant mess.
NDI files Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal

St. John's, NL, Canada, February 3, 2005. As you know, the Canadian Hydrographic Service of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans ("CHS") has purported to terminate its agreement with Nautical Data International Inc. ("NDI") effective February 4. NDI has not accepted this termination and it is pursuing its legal remedies against CHS.

Yesterday, February 2, 2005, NDI filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal pursuant to Section 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) (the "BIA Proceedings"). As a result of the BIA Proceedings, no person, including CHS, may terminate an agreement by reason of NDI making this filing. CHS is stayed from terminating its exclusive licence agreement with NDI.

The shareholders and Board of NDI are committed to the success of its restructuring. In that regard, the Board is taking all necessary steps to ensure that NDI continues to operate its business in the ordinary course and to pursue a mutually acceptable resolution of its dispute with the CHS while under the protection of the BIA Proceedings.

What are the chances of getting this thread transferred elsewhere?

Although getting e-charts may be of interest to Flotilla members, discussion of this dispute in our flotilla discussion clutters up the flotilla thread and makes it difficult to follow important trip related messages.

Can you take it somewhere else?
