I think the reason I tow so well is that I have a dual axle trailer with a very light boat on it.
Admirals 4.0 pulls it with no scariness. My 2.5 pulls it fine, but underpowered for a long trip.

I tow with a 4cyl 2.0 Turbo AWD SUV with more low end torque and hp than most V6 Suv's out there today.
Nil issues
The Audi Q5 for example rated at 4500 tow cap.
And knowing Audi, if they say 4500, its good for much more....

That's interesting...I did not realize the extent of the platform share.

Yeah they were all designed back when MB owned Chrysler and have been continuations of the same design. Benz sells them what's called a "knockdown kit" consisting of the unit body and suspension, and they bolt on the body panels, power-train, and systems. When companies spin-off a brand, they have supply agreements to last the design life of the models in production.
