Thanks bastonjock. I can understand what you are going through. I try to keep the fancy words down on this forum as there is a lot of new sailors here.

My first boat was a Chrysler 16 Mutineer day sailer which weighed only 400 pounds. The next boat was a Mac 25. My New boat is a Mac 26M. The bigger boats are actually easier to sail.

What are the sailing conditions like there?

I've done all my sailing on the Pacific Ocean where you can pretty much count on wind on a daily basis. Wind that's good for sailing most of the time. Not sure what condition are like on the lake you are at but just something else to consider ... wouldn't want to hasle with all the extra hardware if there wasn't much use for it! :|
