The first question that comes to mind about the :macm: is:
But in America, how much?
In Italy with the minimum to navigate and with the transformations EU (European Union) you need to buy an almost 38.000 euro without motor whit tax.
Not much?
P.S. is it understandable writing .... I used the google translator :D

Roberto: $21,500 for new bare bones Mac. With a few necessary modifications, in my opinion, and a 50-60 horsepower motor you are looking at around $32000-$35000. Try this link for more info http://www.macgregor26.com/dealer_list/dealer.htm

Roberto,

Yes, your post above is very understandable. Of course, there will be a random word that the Google computer translates wrong. But, the meaning of the sentence still may still be there.

Perhaps, in the future, this Mac web site could have a translator feature that is connected to Google translator so Mac friends around the world could add their posts and we all could read them. But, this may cost some time and money. My New Year's resolution is to contribute some $$ to Heath for this site, not for a translator feature, but just because it is a great place for us Mac'rs.

Opie.

Hello J.
although we do not have a :macm: are already possessed by the sea and my boat.
Yes this is really a nice forum, when (in a few years) I have learned the language will be more interesting.
I wanted even if it isn't a :macm: to put pictures of my boat, but I can not understand how to do it!
Hello everyone, sorry but I can not reply to everyone, I need time.
Roby.

Hi Roberto

I think i posted to you on an other forum? anyhow welcome to this forum

The reason that new macs cost 35000 euros is down to taxes

Our European legislation, adds the cost of the EU certificate,17.5% VAT and a further 10% import duty, also there is the transportation costs. The importation of all new macgregor sail boats into Europe is controlled by one company, you cannot buy a new mac in Europe unless you buy it from them.I did look into importing an older mac,but the exchange rate and the paperwork involved put me off of the Idea

Roberto, I have the 60 HP Evinrude E-Tec. I'm pleased with it. It is a quiet motor and is responsive. It has a relatively large prop (propeller) for a small motor. It is a clean running outboard and doesn't visibly smoke like many 2 stroke outboards.
