Think I will pick up some spray paint and have a go at the Anchor, nothing that can't be fixed or reversed later
. Or when you're inside the boat trying to knock the caulked up hangar bolt out of its hole without damaging the threads..... and the whole thing suddenly and unexpectedly lets go! Not that that ever happened to me 
but the carpet will stop you having to practice gelcoating repairs to chips on the centerboard
