I've got a lot of experience towing stuff. Just hoping I wasn't as close to the edge of capacity for the Jeep as I am. I understand the older boats are a bit lighter and perhaps better sailers. Haven't found one in decent enough shape yet... so still looking. One owner did tell me the 26m series would be nice to have if he could afford it. The motor he's seen friends get out of a lot of jams in. That boat is 300 or more lbs heavier I am told.

Uuhhhh...Shameless Post Padding!
Comes from a delay in the server, and an impatient poster hitting the 'submit' button too many times! :)

I fixed it.

Done some checking around. There's a 26 for sale at a price we might tolerate, but the boat lists at 2600# plus a 600 lbs trailer, 260 lbs motor plus any gear and we are over. I've seen the stats for a 26d which look pretty good. Might need to do that instead.

From what I've seen the 26 is heavier in construction as well. Anyone know who can wire the trailers (older) for brakes and a new axel?

THanks,
