Bill from Boats 4 sail said it best IMO when I asked him about lazy jacks.

"What do you need lazy jacks on a boat this size for".

Just my opinion.

On our 26XFor many reasons I find an autopilot very handy especially if solo.Even with a crew on board the ability to leave the helm has made many a job easier.
The combination of furling and yet to be sorted lazy jacks further enhances the sailing experience.In my opinion none of these things are lazyness just personal preference....however if any of these shortcuts don't work properly in the heat of the moment.......Our sailing at the moment has consisted of 4 or 5 days at a time so the urgency to do things isn't there.....if we don't do it today we can do it tomorrow.....if its not windy or too windy....we look at our boat as a floating caravan with a mast....sailing is a bonus not a necesity and with only 15hp on the back a very relaxed experience
