If you look at what Chip says, this was obviously an inadequate trailer. Why didn't SA pick up on this?

Not to reopen any old wounds, but I think this thread is a reminder that just because your tow rig moves the boat on wheels doesnt mean it 'works'

Moving a (10,000 or 12000 pound??) big rig is a job for people who do it all the time, not for people who want to enjoy the water inho

I think the main advantage that we have with our Macs is the MUCH lower center of gravity than a racing keel boat like that. Its gonna take much more force to overturn the Mac than one of those heavy J boats sitting 5 feet higher. Also, I would say that a lot of these racer types probably don't really know much about trailering. The annual Key West race that they were going to could very easily be the only time they trailer that boat all year. And still, almost 2 years on this board now and I don't believe I've ever read of this kind of mishap happening to a Mac...stock trailer or not.
