To uncurve the bend in the furler foil, just lay it out flat in the sun on a hot day, maybe on a dark surface, and it will straighten out. (You still might get some warm sunny days, right?)

If the engine really hasn’t been run in years, and you haven’t started it yet, squirt some oil into the spark plug holes and turn the flywheel over a few times beforehand. As mentioned by a previous poster, it will lessen the risk of damage on startup.

The fresh bottom paint adds value to the package too!
