I just installed a Natures Head in my M. I have the 3-arm mixer handle and moved it close to the aft wall to give me the most headroom (I'm 5' 11").
The vent is in the lower outside corner of the skylight. It's tight, but workable. I think the benefits of not having to pump it out or empty is as often as a porti potty will trump the slight lack of headroom. My wife is on her tip toes when she sits on it (she's 5'4"). We'll try it out to see how it works.
I may install a small footrest for her. I'll keep you posted.

I also have the Natures Head model with the spider handle. Works great. I've had it for about a year. Emptied the solid compartment only once about a month ago The flower bed looks great! There is absolutely no smell what so ever. Head room isn't a big deal but thought I would inquire about removing the shelf to see if I could gain a couple of inches... you know, just for poops and grins :) :) :)

Did you mount it on the shelf or on the floor? Aft facing the port side? Does it interfere w/ the door?

One the shelf making sure I gave enough room for the lid fully open.

The head faces inboard just like the porti-poti.

It doesn't interfere with the door but after several underway periods we decided to remove the door since we like to curtain off forward of the trunk anyway.

Here's a nice mod that I used as a reference. http://www.macgregorsailors.com/modt/in ... ?view=1514
