I figured they're long enough, thick enough, tough enough. I fold em in half and use it as the upper and lower - and the doubled over part as a pillow

I bought the teak, and it's a very pleasant light brown color that's not too bad in the hot sun. The vinyl material used is thick and very durable. They do a good job of keeping the water out under most circumstances, and dry well if they do get wet and lay flat. We liked them so well we bought a set for the interior (covers for all cushions except the rear berth). That might be worth it: mine have been patched and repatched several times (the snaps tend to break through the fabric eventually). I had some local folks redo them, by using the old ones as a template, but the results were dismal: I don't know how they cut them, but the damn foam never stays in place right anymore. No matter how I pound, press, pinch, and reset them, they always end with the zippers awry, in a shapeless mess, within 24 hours. To add insult to injury, those dummies sewed the zippers in the wrong places (on the inner edge of the seats, rather than on the outer one, where they could be tucked under the backrests) where the zippers promptly take water when things get wet...
